Meet Dracula Technologies at Electronica 2024 | Booth B1.151-6

Live Demonstrations
Dracula Technologies will present its own products, including a CO2 sensor, temperature logger, and a portable smart beacon powered by LAYER®. Partner demos will also highlight how LAYER® integrates into real-world solutions:

  • Atmosic: A battery-free remote control integrating Atmosic’s ultra-low-power ATM33 chip and LAYER® energy-harvesting module. The remote can function entirely on indoor light, allowing for compact designs and eliminating battery changes.
  • Semtech: A LoRaWAN-based tracker demonstrating battery-free geo-location both indoors and outdoors. Powered by LAYER® cells, the tracker adjusts its transmission frequency based on light availability, enabling it to send location data even in low-light conditions like warehouses. In daylight, the tracker can transmit frequently.
  • STMicroelectronics: LAYER® technology integrated into the STM32U0 microcontroller enables full energy autonomy. The OPV module’s ability to harvest energy from ambient light powers the device across various applications, including industrial and medical devices, eliminating the need for traditional batteries.
  • Orioma: An autonomous infrared camera for monitoring air quality, humidity, and temperature. Utilizing LAYER® for continuous energy supply, the camera operates maintenance-free for up to 15 years, using wireless LoRaWAN communication for data transmission.
  • truvami: A Smart Label for logistics and asset tracking, featuring LAYER®-powered energy harvesting. The label automatically sends location, temperature, and motion data to the cloud, enhancing supply chain management efficiency without the need for manual scanning.
  • E-peas: A portable, self-powered temperature and humidity sensor that combines LAYER®Vault technology for light energy harvesting with an e-peas power management IC. Suitable for indoor environments, the device measures temperature and pressure, and transmits data via BLE, adapting its activity to available light.

Presentation of LAYER®Vault at Electronica
Additionally, for the first time at Electronica, Dracula Technologies will showcase LAYER®Vault, a 2-in-1 solution integrating energy harvesting and storage in a single flexible film. This technology ensures a continuous power supply for IoT sensors, enabling reliable operation even in low-light environments and reducing the need for frequent battery replacements.

About Dracula Technologies: Dracula Technologies, headquartered in Valence, France, pioneers sustainable energy solutions with its LAYER® technology, revolutionizing power sources for low-power electronics. Its organic photovoltaic (OPV) modules, manufactured using patented digital printing, harvest ambient light, eliminating reliance on traditional batteries. LAYER®Vault complements the company’s existing OPV harvesting product line, transforming it into a 2-in-1 product, combining low-light energy harvesting and storage on a single, flexible film ensuring uninterrupted device functionality, empowering Smart Buildings, Smart Homes, Smart Asset Tracking, and other related applications. With a commitment to clean, renewable energy, Dracula Technologies leads the charge towards a greener future by providing long-lasting, and cost-effective energy solutions. Supporting its mission is its new “Green Micropower Factory”—a state-of-the-art, fully automated facility, the largest of its kind in the world with a capacity of up to 150 million cm² of printed OPV devices per year.
