Ambient Light Harvesting Heads Indoors

Dracula Technologies’ novel approach yields printed and flexible organic PV cells. Photovoltaic ink is printed onto a flexible, lightweight substrate and then encapsulated with a plastic film to protect it from the environment. The company says that its Layer technology (Figure 1) is stable for up to 10 years indoors. The cell is bifacial, allowing it to harvest energy from both sides if mounted accordingly.
